Immigration FC has continued with its 100% start and unbeaten run in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League after defeating Medical 1-0 in their week-4 fixture played at the Soma Mini Stadium on Tuesday.
Three games were played across three different venues during the first set of games played in the week-4 fixtures on Tuesday.
The Tuesday games has seen the Immigration side continue with their 100% start with an unbeaten run after winning all their four league fixtures so far after their latest victory over Medical FC.
This result has extended Immigration FC lead at the top of the table with 12 points, while Medical FC who now suffered their first defeat of the league dropped to 5th position with 7 points after 4 games.
Elsewhere, PSV Wellingara has also continued their unbeaten run after defeating Gunjur United 1-0 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
Ousman Jammeh scored the only goal in the match for the Wellingara-based team in the second period of the game, leaving the Coastal Boys, Gunjur United in search of a draw.
PSV Wellingara FC who conceded one draw with three wins now moved to 2nd position with 10 points, while Gunjur United occupy 6th position with 7 points after 4 matches.
The third game on Tuesday, has seen newly promoted side Kanifing East being forced to a 1-1 draw by Red Hawks FC in a game played at the Independence Stadium.
The debutant team, Kanfing East took lead in the first period, while struggling side, Red Hawks FC leveled the game in the second period, forcing the match into a stalemate.
This result dropped both teams from their earlier positions as Kanifing East now sit 14 position with 2 points, while Red Hawks FC sit second-from-bottom (17th) position with just 1 point after 4 games.
Meanwhile, at the time of going to press yesterday (Wednesday), three other sets of fixtures were playing across three venues in the week-4 fixtures of the GFF 2nd Division League.
Young Africans were playing BK Milan at the Independence Stadium in Bakau; B4U Kiang West were also entertaining Waterside FC at the Soma Mini-Stadium; and Greater Tomorro FC were also battling with Jarra West at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
