Muhammad Talibeh Jallow has been told by the Kanifing Magistrate Court presided over by Matgistrate AB Faal to provide his original medical document as evidence as he appeared to testify in his case.
The medical document is to be tendered as evidence to the court but the Magistrate said that’s not the original medical document and the photocopy of the said medical document cannot be tendered as evidence. Magistrate AB Faal ordered him to bring the original document on the next adjournment day.
He was testing on a felony and robbery case which involved Dawda Njie and Modou Lamin Ndow.
The witness, Muhammad Talibeh Jallow testified that on the day of the incident he closed from work while his shop was closed. He said he rode his motorbike home, when on his way home his bag was on his shoulder.
He said he saw a vehicle coming with full speed then he decided to leave the highway and take the footpath, while in the footpath riding his motorbike the first accused Dawda Njie grabbed his bag from his shoulder and they started push and pull among themselves.
It is on this push and pull, he said, that was the time his motorbike felt on the ground and the two accused dragged him on the ground and as they were dragging him, he said the first accused Dawda told Modou Lamin to run with the bag.
He said they went up to Ghadafi mosque, that was the time he said the two accused took his bag from him.
As he continued in narration, he said it was that time he was wounded all over his body and went to Kotu pharmacy.
At the pharmacy, he said, he met a man and that man gave his car to someone to drive him to the police station where he gave his statement and later went to Kanifing Hospital with one police officer.
He said at the hospital he was given a medical document and some medicines and they later went back to the police station.
Meanwhile, the charged sheet of the two accused Dawda Njie and Modou Lamin Touray read that on the 19th October 2021in Kololi conspired with intent to commit a felony with robbery.
According to the narration of count two of their offense and particular Dawda Njie and Modou LaminTouray on same day and same place robbed Muhammad Talibeh Jallow by dragging him on the ground and forcefully took his bag containing fiscal cash of D140,000, 127,000 CFA equivalent to D11,430 , $200 dollar equivalent to D10,100, two Africell routers black and white valued at D4,500, Toshiba laptop valued at D8000 , three Qcell Data mark Wiko valued at D500, three bunches of keys and Qcell line with D400 credit total valued at D167,430.00 being the properties of Muhammad Talibeh Jallow.
