The head coach of Real de Banjul, Bai Malleh Wada stated that he wants to win this year’s Gambia Football Federation (GFF) 1st Division League title unbeaten.
Bai Malleh who is still confident of winning this year’s league title has so far won four of their five league games and drawing so far.
When asked about whether his mission is still intact during his game against Hawks FC, he said: “yes the unbeaten mission is still on track and we are going to put it in perspective.”
He added that they are fit enough to run over any team in the league right now, judging from his team fitness level last year when he took over from Ebou Jarra (now coach of Gamtel FC).
“Our target is to win all our games and we will work towards that. We are confident that with the team that we have we can do it,” he said after their opening game against the defending champions Fortune FC.
Real de Banjul currently sit in second position with 10 points, leveling with Falcons (1st) and Waa Banjul (3rd) positions respectively.
The City Boys won four of their five league matches (against Fortune, Gamtel and Hawks) respectively and drew against Marimoo FC.
Meanwhile, Real de Banjul legend Bai Malleh Wada was appointed coach of the team last season in April following the sacking of Ebou Jarra (now with Gamtel FC).
Real de Banjul will after the two-week break for the Christmas and New Year’s play against Wallidan FC in a Banjul-derby encounter on Saturday 8th January 2021.
