Last year’s relegated side, Tallinding suffered their first defeat of the season over Young Africans, while Bombada thumped B4U Kiang West in the week-5 fixtures of the second division league played on Wednesday.
Young Africans defeat Tallinding United 3-1 in a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau
This is the second win registered by the Young Africans side, while Tallinding United also conceded to first loss of the season after three wins and a draw.
Young Africans moved to 10th position with 7 points leveling with Gunjur and Bombada, while Tallinding United sit 5th position with 10 points leveling with Medical FC.
Bombada thumped B4U Kiang West 4-1 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
The Brikama-based team Bombada FC now collected their second win, one draw and two loses, while the Kiangers (B4U Kiang West) registered three wins, two loses and no draw.
This victory moved Bombada FC to 8th position with 7 points, leveling with Gunjur and Young Africans respectively, while B4U Kiang West sit 6th position with 9 points.
Medical FC won Waterside FC 2-1 in a debutant affairs game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium.
Newly promoted side Medical FC continue their impressive start of the league after collecting three wins, one draw and a loss, while Water Side FC continue with their slow start after drawing one, won one and three loses after five games.
Meanwhile, week-5 fixtures of the second division league ended yesterday (Thursday) when BK Milan played against Gunjur at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum and Kanifing East also battled it out against Greater Tomorrow at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
