Kemenseng Sanneh commonly known as Kexx, has declared his intention to contest in the upcoming National Assembly election due in April 2020 under the ticket of People’s Democratic Organization for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS).
Mr Sanneh, also Youth Secretary of PDOIS, in an interview with The Voice Newspaper said he will contest for the parliamentary seat for Niamina West constituency.
“I believe that I have the knowledge and the ways to be a better representative of Niamina West because I see that Niamina West is the only constituency among the 53 constituency that never have its own high school since independence. It is also the only constituency that never has its own hospital since independence,” he said.
“Our youth go to either Armitage or Bansang to attend high school and I believe it is our right to have it, good roads are also not available since the time of Jawara. In the area of electricity is also lacking and we are all tax payers. We are all contributing. So, I see that I can be a very good advocator that can advocate for the people of Niamina to make sure that their needs for citizens are giving to them,” he explained.
According to him, he has interest to be a parliamentarian since after the by-election because he has a very good influence in Niamina West and also a youth but he backed off because the things were not feasible by then. So he decided to withdraw and wait for the 2022 parliamentary election.
“I think that whatever I did from where I came from is my responsibility as a citizen of this country and I know that I have collaboration with the youth because I know they are the future leaders of Niamina, I did a lot of collective works with them that has to do with the development and the way forward of the village in the areas of sport, women gardeners but I did not take that as an advantage,” he noted.
