PSV Wellingara unbeaten run ended, BK Milan forced to another setback

PSV Wellingara was forced to concede their first defeat of the season while Bakau Kachikally Milan (BK Milan FC) was also forced to their first draw in their week-6 fixtures of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) 2nd Division League played last Thursday.

Wellingara-based side PSV, were defeated 1-0 by Greater Tomorrow in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho football field in Old Yundum.

PSV Wellingara who started very impressively since the start of the league season now tasted their first defeat following their four wins and one draw in six games, while Greater Tomorrow who started by struggling in the league now expect this victory to be a morale booster after losing four and winning two games in six games.

PSV Wellingara despite the defeat still maintained top position in the league with 13 points, leveled with both BM Milan and Immigration, while Greater Tomorrow moved to 13th position with 6 points, leveled with Kanifing East.

Meanwhile, at the time going to press yesterday, Sunday, PSV Wellingara were commencing the week-7 fixtures against BK Milan in a game playing at the Late Ousman Saho football field in Old Yundum.

Elsewhere, BK Milan were forced to a 2-2 draw by Jarra West in their week-6 game played last Thursday at the Soma mini-stadium.

BK Milan before playing PSV Wellingara yesterday, Sunday, collected four wins, one draw and one loss, while the Jarrankers (Jarra West) collected two wins, one draw and suffered three defeats in six games.

BK Milan after six games sit 2nd position with 13 points, leveled with PSV Wellingara and Immigration while Jarra West sit 11th position with 7 points, leveled with Waterside.

Young Africans were also forced to a 1-1 draw by struggling Jam City in a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau last Thursday.

Young Africans now recorded two wins, two draws and two defeats, while Jam City still continue with their struggles after conceding five defeats and one draw with no win in six games.

Young Africans occupy 10 position with 8 points leveled with Bombada, while Jam City still languish at the rock-bottom-position (18th) with only a single point after six games.
