Speaking after their arrival in The Gambia from Qatar training camp, head coach Tom Saintfiet said they are ready to serve The Gambia.
“We are as prepared as any other team, though we have challenges here and there. I have not been able to interact with some of my players since November but we hope to do our best,” he said before they were bid farewell by Gambian President Adama Barrow.
Pa Modou Jagne, the team captain expressed their readiness to fully participate in the top African competition.
“We are very ready to play for our country. As you all know this is the first time The Gambia is taking part in the competition compared to other countries that are more experienced than us,” he said.
