New students were on Monday oriented into Gambia College Basse Campus School of Education these new oriented students will undergo four years studies.
The orientation was attended by the Registrar, Head of School of Education and other administrative staff from Brikama Campus.
Representing the coordinator of the campus, Lamin Jarra, welcomed the new students to Basse Campus and assured them of quality education during their period of study and encouraged them to be hardworking as they will be going out to serve and that service too should be of good quality.
The Registrar, Demba Yarbo, also assured the students that they will not regret their decision to choose Gambia College for their professional training particularly wanting to do it in the Basse campus.
He reminded them that discipline is part of the core values of the Gambia College which shall never be compromised.
The Head of School of Education, in his statement emphasized on discipline, too, because even the certification, he said will determine that a student has been found worthy both in character and in learning. Therefore, their hardworking must be polished with discipline in all aspects.
He then urged them to coexist peacefully in the campus as they came from diverse backgrounds and United by one purpose, “to learn and go out to serve”.
Other speakers including the admission Officer, Quality assurance director, Finance Controller and ICT Officer all spoke on their various areas.
Student leaders welcomed the new students to the campus and as well motivate them to feel at home while in the campus.
