Batchilly calls for unity as GAP clocks 3 years

Musa Ousainou Yali Batchilly, the leader of Gambia Action Party, has called on political leaders to unite for the country’s peace and development as his party clocks three years in the political filed.

Mr Batchilly, who backed President Barrow’s re-election also called on the supporters of Gambia Action Party to rally behind him support to Barrow and The Gambia.

“As today the 17th of January, 2022 marks three years of the founding of the Gambia Action Party (GAP), I hear by avail myself as Party Leader and Secretary General, the opportunity to thank all people in the Gambia and in the diaspora, especially the Party Executive Committee and the other committee members, the Party militants, fellow political parties and politicians, the Inter-Party Committee (IPC), the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), the International Communities, The Government of The Gambia, Members of the Diplomatic Corp, The Security and Armed Forces, all Media Houses for the greatly and harmoniously enabling GAP to thrive over the years. Furthermore, as Secretary General and Party Leader, I Servant Musa Ousainou Yali Batchilly hereby renew my alliance and support for the president elect, His Excellency President Adama Barrow and his National Development Agenda in building a better Gambia for one and all,” he said.

“I hereby continue to encourage all fans and supporters of the Gambia Action Party to rally behind me in strengthening the supportive and nation loving bond with the president of the Gambia in the spirit of Democracy, Peace and Development for the betterment of our beloved motherland The Gambia, Africa and the world as a whole,” he added.

“I am also calling on all my fellow political leaders to come together as patriotic citizens in unison and harmony to share our common good for the nation in building the Gambia we all want and the Gambia we all wish for, to reflect on the peace and stability of the nation so as to live a Gambia that knows Peace, Progress and Prosperity despite our social, tribal and political differences.  Together we can build a better Gambia through Mass Action for Mass Development. I thank you all for your sincere support and understanding,” he wrote in the statement.
