Dutch couple Eddy Potters and wife Wil Potters on Sunday supported Manduar Football Academy in West Coast Region with ten (10) sets of football jersey, beeps, shocks and yellow and red cards. The couple also supported Manduar Nursery and Clinic with medical and educational materials.

The couple’s Gambian counterpart, Dominic Mendy said his friends (Eddy and wife) have been offering help to the community since 2012.

He described the couple as real friends of Manduar community. Mr Mendy also appealed to them to continue the humanitarian gesture for Gambians especially the community of Manduar community.

“On behalf of my community, I express our profound gratitude and thanks to the couple for the concern they have for the people of Manduar and its satellite communities. We really appreciated the gesture (health, education and sports),” Mendy said.

According to him, it is thanks to the help of the couple that some of their players are now playing in the first and second division leagues of the country. He assured donors that the materials will be put into good use.

Eddy Potters said they presented the football items to the academy to promote grassroots football in the country.

“We have been assisting the community of Manduar for the past five years in areas of health, education and sports and it is our hope to continue with the good spirit,” Eddy Potters said.
