City Girls has collected their first victory in the GFF Women’s First Division League after defeating Brikama United, while struggling side Raptim FC thrashed the debutant side Foni Girls in the GFF Women’s Second Division League played on Sunday.
City Girls registered their first victory of the season after defeating Brikama United 3-0 in Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s First Division League played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Sunday.
Sally Saidykhan opened the scoring for City Girls in the 18th minute of the game. Binta Saho and Nenneh Joof extended City Girls lead in the 25th and 35th minutes of the game.
This is the first victory earned by City Girls in five matches, while Brikama United continued with their poor form after conceding their fourth defeats in five matches.
City Girls now moved to 4th position with 6 points, leveling with Berewuleng while Brikama United maintained their rock-bottom-(8th) position with just 1 point.
Elsewhere, Raptim FC thrashed Foni Girls 5-0 in the Women’s Second Division League game played at the Kiti Football field on Sunday.
Raptim FC who started the league poorly, now registered their first win of the season, while debutant Foni Girls continued with their struggle after conceding their fourth defeats of the league in five games.
Raptim FC moved out of the relegation zone to 8th position with 4 points, while Foni Girls maintained their rock-bottom-(10th)-positions with just a single point after five games.
