Scorpion’s striker Assan Ceesay on Sunday scored to register back-to-back goals for his Swiss topflight side FC Zurich during their 3-0 home win over Lugano in the week-21 fixture of the Swiss Super League played at the Letzigrund.
The 27-year-old scored his side’s third goal in the 66th minute of the second half after an assist from the Ivorian Ousmane Doumbia.
Gambia’s goal-poacher scored back-to-back goals for the City Boys (Zurich) after scoring earlier during Zurich FC 3-1 win over Grasshoppers in their week-20 fixture played on Saturday 5th February 2022.
He scored his side’s opening goal in the 47th minute of the second after coming off the bench in their previous fixture.
The former Gamtel and Casa Sports striker now netted thirteen goals and assisted six for FC Zurich.
The victory helped FC Zurich extend their lead at the Swiss Superlige to 10 points on 49 points, while Lugano sit 4th position with 33 points.
