Scorpion’s defender, Bubacarr Sanneh has returned to the Danish Superliga again after signing a short-term contract with Danish topflight side SønderjyskE Fodbold on Monday.

The 27-year-old who signed a contract until 30 June 2022 aims to strengthen SønderjyskE Fodbold defense as they are currently struggling in the Danish Superliga.

Bubacarr Sanneh, who previously played in the Danish Superliga for AC Horsens, FC Midtjylland, Anderlecht and AGF has been out without a club for some time now since leaving RSC Anderlecht this summer.

SønderjyskE Fodbold Sports director, Esben Hansen expressed delights to secure the services of the Gambian international defender, noting that Bubacarr Sanneh is a strong defender who has in-depth knowledge about the Danish Superliga.

“We are very pleased that we can now have Bubarcarr Sanneh at our disposal for the rest of the spring. We already have some strong midfielders, but here we can also be vulnerable to injuries and quarantines, and therefore we choose to strengthen our defense with a player who knows the Danish Super League and who can play several of the defensive positions,” said Esben Hansen.

He continued: “Bubarcarr Sanneh was eerily strong when he played for FC Midtjylland until 2018, and it goes without saying that he has a high level when a club like Anderlecht brings him to the club. Since then, he has had a somewhat uneven course with several rental stays, but now he is free and very motivated to get his career back on track. I am sure we can lift him in our strong environment. After all, he is only 27 years old and has previously shown his worth in the Danish Super League, so I feel convinced that we will also get great pleasure from him during the spring.”

Bubacarr Sanneh expressed delights to sign a contract with SønderjyskE while looking forward to playing in the Danish Superliga again.

“I am very happy that I have come here to SønderjyskE. The club has shown great interest in me, and I would like to help the team in the spring, where the overriding goal is to ensure survival in the Danish Super League. I have a great knowledge of the league, and Denmark feels like a second home for me. I am very motivated to get started and help the team, and I cannot wait at all to get started out on the training ground,” said Bubacarr Sanneh.

SønderjyskE currently sit in second-from-bottom-(11th)-position with 10 points after 18 matches.
