Brikama Utd continues its unbeaten run, Red Hawks recorded 3rd win in GFF 2nd Division League

Brikama United has continued with their unbeaten run in the GFF 1 Division League while Red Hawks FC recorded their third victory in the GFF 2nd Division League in respective games played on Monday.

The Sateba boys, Brikama United have continued with their fine unbeaten run in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) 1 Division League after defeating Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) 3-1 during their week-eight fixture played at the Lives Your Dream Sports Complex in Basori on Monday.

This is the third win recorded by Brikama United this season, while Gambia Ports Authority conceded their fourth defeats of the season.

Brikama United overall collected five draws, three wins and no loss yet, while Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) registered two wins, one draw and four defeats in eight games.

The Sateba Boys moved to 5th position with 14 points, while the Ferry boys occupied 8th position with 10 points, leveling with Gamtel FC.

Elsewhere, struggling side Red Hawks FC beat Young Africans 2-0 in their week-10 fixture played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum on Monday.

Red Hawks, who are very inconsistent in the league, now recorded their third win of the season, while Young Africans suffered their third defeats of the season.

Red Hawks FC, which is Hawks FC junior team, overall collected three wins, two draws and five defeats, while Young Africans FC registered three wins, four draws and three defeats in ten games.

The Banjul-based team, Young Africans sit 11th position with 13 points, two points ahead of Red Hawks who occupy 14th position with 11 points, leveling with Bombada FC.

Gamtel FC were held to a 2-2 draw by Team Rhino in their week-seven fixture played at Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Tuesday.

The Telecommunication boys, Gamtel FC who were looking to closing the gap at the top-four were forced to their second draw of the season, while the debutant side Team Rhino who started the league struggling also registered their fourth draws of the season.

Gamtel FC overall collected three wins, two draws and three defeats after eight games, while Team Rhino also suffered three defeats, four draws and two victories after nine games.

The Telecommunication boys occupied 7th position with 11 points, one point ahead of Team Rhino who sit 10th position with 10 points, leveling with Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) and Gambia Ports Authority (GPA).

Elsewhere, Wallidan FC were forced to settle in a goalless draw by Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum on Tuesday.

The Blue boys, Wallidan FC were looking to collect the maximum point to extend their lead at the top, while the Soldiers were also looking to closing the gap at the top-four.

Wallidan FC who is one of the sides yet to test a defeat this season now collected their fifth draw of the season, while Gambia Armed Forces also registered their fourth draws of the season.

Wallidan FC, been one of the decorated team in league overall collected four wins, five draws and no lose yet, while GAF registered two wins, four draws and two defeats after eight games.

The Banjul-based team, Wallidan now leapfrogged at the top of the standings on 17 points, one points ahead of joint-second-place-teams while Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) sit 8th position with 10 points, leveling with Team Rhino and Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) respectively.

Meanwhile, struggling side Elite United will today, Thursday play the defending champions, Fortune FC in a game to be played at Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.
