Koita recorded setback, G Tomorrow & Future Bi close gap in Women’s 2nd tier League

Women’s Second Division League leaders, Koita FC were forced to collect their first draw of the season, while Greater Tomorrow and Future Bi capitalized to close the gap at the top of the Women’s Second Division League over the weekend.

Koita FC were forced to a 1 all draw with the struggling side Raptim FC in a game played at the Kiti football field on Friday.

Ndey Ceesay gave Raptim FC the lead in the 23 minutes of the first half, while Sally Jarju restored purity for Koita in the 55 minutes of the season half.

Koita FC who are yet to taste defeat in the league were forced to collect their first draw of the season, while this result earned Raptim FC their second draws of the season.

Koita FC overall collected four wins, one draw and no loss after five games, while Raptim FC collected one win, two draws and three defeats after six games.

Koita FC maintained their lead at the Women’s 2nd tier league on 13 points, while Raptim FC sat eighth position on 5 points.

Kinteh’s FC beat Young Icons 2-1 in a game played at the Soma mini-stadium on Friday.

Kinteh’s has now recorded their second victory of the season, while struggling side Young Icons suffered their fifth defeats of the season.

Kinteh’s FC overall recorded two draws, two wins and one defeat in five games, while Young Icons suffered five defeats, one win and no draw yet in six games.

Kinteh’s occupied seventh position on 8 points, while Young Icons sat in second-from-bottom-(9th)-position with 3 points.

Meanwhile, Greater Tomorrow defeated Lower Nuimi 3-2 in a game played at the Soma mini-stadium on Saturday.

The West Coast Region-based team, Greater Tomorrow has collected their fourth win of the season, while the North Bank Region-based team, Lower Nuimi suffered their third defeat of the season.

Greater Tomorrow overall collected four wins, two draws and no loss yet, while Lower Nuimi registered three wins, three defeats and no draw yet after six games.

The West Coast Region-based team moved to third position on 12 points, while Lower Nuimi sat sixth position on 9 points, leveling with Jeshwwang United and Prisons.

Future Bi thrashed Foni Girls 4-0 in a game played at the Kiti football field on Saturday.

Last season’s second division league goal-scorer Kaddy Jarju scored a brace (two goals) with goals from Anna Bojang and Therese Mendy secured the important three points for Future Bi.

Future Bi collected the maximum points to close the gap at the top, while the defeat continued Foni Girls’ struggles in the league.

Future Bi collected their fourth wins of the season while struggling side Foni Girls suffered their fifth defeat of the season.

Future Bi overall collected their four wins, two losses and no draw yet, while Foni Girls overall suffered five defeats, one draw and no win yet after six games.

Furture Bi moved to second position on 12 points, leveling with Greater Tomorrow, while Foni Girls continued languishing at the rock-bottom-(10th)-position with just one point after six games.
