Olympafrica beat Gamtel/Gamcel 3-2 (25-11, 25-23, 21-25, 22-25,15-11) in the super cup final of the 2021/2022 volleyball season of The Gambia on Saturday to renew their dominance.
The Serrekunda East team highlighted their ability in the first set by an early dominance with the Telecom giants loseing their way early. It seemed rather a straight road to victory for Olympafrica in the first set (25-11).
The attitude from Gamtel/Gamcel was uphold throughout the second set. They set out a strong attack and dives to level in the opening stages of the set but slightly fell behind and lose 25-23.
The third set was a point to point play and Gamtel Gamcel frustrated their opponents to make it 5-1 before East level it 5-all.
No clear winner was known and the following rally was decisive as the point went to Gamtel Gamcel who nailed a 25-21.
The 4th set was decisive for both teams and Gamtel Gamcel had the first advantage as they continue their lead and dominance to secure a 25-22.
It was all to play for in the final 5th set and it was Olympafrica that killed it at 15-11.
