PSV Wellingara recorded fifth win, Tallinding Utd held in GFF week-12 fixtures

PSV Wellingara has recorded their fifth victory of the league while Tallinding United were held again in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) second Division League fixtures played across different venues on Monday.

The Wellingara-based team, PSV, has defeated Medical FC 2-1 during their week-12 fixture played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Academy in Basori on Monday.

The early pacesetters in the league PSV Wellingara registered their seventh win of the season, while the debutant side, Medical FC suffered their fourth loss of the season.

PSV Wellingara overall collected seven wins, one draw and four defeats in twelve games, while the central River Region-based side, Medical recorded five wins, three draws and four defeats after twelve games.

The victory moved PSV Wellingara to 2nd position on 22 points, while the defeat dropped Medical to 6th position on 18 points

Elsewhere, Tallinding United were held to a goalless draw by Dibba Oil in their week-12 fixture played at the Soma mini-stadium on Monday.

The Buffer Zone boys, Tallinding United, recorded their fifth draw of the league, while the newly promoted side, Dibba Oil recorded their third draw of the season.

Last year’s first division relegated side, Tallinding United overall collected five wins, five draws and two defeats after twelve games, while the Lower River Region-based team, Dibba Oil registered four wins, three draws and four defeats after twelve encounters.

The result leaves Tallinding United at 4th position on 20 points, while Dibba Oil sit 9th position on 15 points respectively.

Latrikunda United beat Waterside 1-0 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum on Monday.

The Sabiji-based side, Latrikunda recorded their third victory of the season, while the Banjul-based team, Waterside FC suffered their seventh defeat of the league.

Both struggling side teams, Latrikunda United and Waterside FC overall collected three wins, two draws and seven defeats each after twelve matches.

The win moved Latrikunda United level on 11 points with Waterside FC as the Sabiji-based team sit 16th position while the Banjul-based team occupied 15th position.

At the time of going to press yesterday, Tuesday, B4U Kiang West were playing against BK Milan at the Soma mini-stadium and Gunjur United were battling it out with Kanifing East at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum.

On Wednesday, today, Jam City will take on Greater Tomorrow at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
