The Upper River Region-based team, Wagadu and the Lower River Region-based team, B4U Kiang West became the first two teams to record a win during the wee-14 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played on Monday.
Wagadu defeated struggling side, Latrikunda United 2-0 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
The Upper River Region-based team has now recorded their fourth win of the season, while the Sabiji-based team, Latrikunda United suffered their eighth loss of the season.
Wagadu overall collected four wins, three draws and seven losses after 14 games, while Latrkunda United recorded three wins, three draws and eight defeats in 14 matches.
The triumph moved Wagadu to 13 position on 15 points, leveling Bombada, Dibba Oil and Young Africans at the time of writing, while Latrikunda United maintained their second-from-bottom-(15th)-position on 12 points, leveling with Waterside and Red Hawks respectively.
Elsewhere, B4U Kiang West beat Jam City 2-1 in a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.
The Kiangkers team have now recorded their seventh victory of the league, while Kombo South District-based team Jam City suffered their ninth defeat of the season.
B4U Kiang West overall recorded seven wins, two draws and five defeats after 14 games, while struggling side Jam City collected three wins, two draws and nine defeats after 14 matches.
The victory moved B4U Kiang West to fifth position on 23 points, leveling with Tallinding United at the time of writing, while Jam City maintained their position at the rock-bottom on 11 points.
At the time of going to press yesterday, on Tuesday, Dibba Oil were playing Greater Tomorrow at the Soma Mini-Stadium and Young Africans were also battling with Bombada at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.
