Brikama United have recorded their sixth win of the season, while Elite United continued with their struggling after playing their week-13 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played over the weekend.
The Sateba boys, Brikama United recorded their sixth win of the season after defeating Team Rhino 3-1 in a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Thursday.
This is the fifth defeat conceded by the newcomers Team Rhino.
Brikama United overall collected five wins, seven draws and one defeat after 13 matches, while Team Rhino recorded two wins, five draws and five defeats after 12 games.
The result maintained Brikama United at 3rd position on 22 points, leveling with Gamtel FC, while Team Rhino dropped back to the relegation zone at 14th position on 11 points, leveling with GAF.
Elsewhere, Elite United continued with their struggling after being held to a goalless draw by Marimoo in their week-13 fixture played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Friday.
The Academy boys, Elite United, now conceded their third draw of the season, while Marimoo also conceded their fifth draw of the season.
Elite United overall registered one win, three draws and eight defeats after 12 games, while Marimoo recorded three wins, five draws and five defeats after 13 matches.
The draw maintained Elite United’s position at the rock-bottom-(16th)-position at the table with 6 points, while Marimoo sit 11th position on 14 points.
Gamtel FC continued with their winning formula after defeating Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) 1-0 in a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Friday.
Coach Ebou Jarra and his Gamtel FC side now collected their sixth win of the season, while the Soldiers, GAF suffered their sixth defeats of the league season.
The Telecom Giants overall collected six wins, four draws and three defeats after 13 matches, while GAF registered two wins, five draws and six defeats after 13 games.
The victory moved Gamtel FC to 4th position on 22 points, leveling with Brikama United, while GAF dropped to the relegation zone at 15th position on 11 points, leveling with Team Rhino.
Waa Banjul FC tasted their first defeat of the season after being defeated 3-2 by Steve Biko in a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Friday.
The Beach boys, Steve Biko now recorded their four victories of the season, Waa Banjul who was the only yet to test a defeat after suffering their first loss.
Steve Biko overall collected four wins, four draws and four defeats after 12 games, while Waa Banjul registered four wins, seven draws and one defeat after 12 matches.
The win moved Steve Biko to 8th position on 16 points, while the defeat dropped Waa Banjul to 5th position on 19 points.
On Saturday, Hawks FC continued with their impressive form after defeating Samger 2-0 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.
The Reds, Hawks FC now collected their seventh victory of the season, while the Cherno Samba Academy boys, Samger suffered their sixth defeat of the season.
Hawks FC overall collected seven victories, two draws and three defeats after 12 matches, while Samger recorded three wins, three draws and six defeats after 12 games.
The triumph maintained Hawks FC at 2nd position on 23 points, while Samger FC occupied 13th position on 12 points, leveling with GPA.
Banjul United beat the defending champions, Fortune FC 2-0 in a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Saturday.
The Banjul-based team now registered their four victories of the season, while the Petroleum boys suffered their fifth defeat of the season.
Both Banjul United and Fortune FC overall collected four wins, three draws and five defeats after 12 games.
They both shared the number of points (15), with Banjul United sitting ahead at 9th position on goal-difference, while Fortune FC occupied 10th position.
At the time of going to press yesterday, on Sunday, Falcons were playing against Wallidan at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum, while Real de Banjul were battling with Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.
