 Tallinding ward committee refutes Fatoumatta K Jawara’s development claim

Tallinding North Ward Development Committee has declared Fatoumata K Jawara’s development claims as misleading.

According to the committee issued statement, which their reaction come following Fatoumatta K Jawara who is seeking re-election for Tallinding constituency under the ticket of the ruling National People’s Party had claimed of being the one that brought plethora of development projects for the ward since.

“It has come to the attention of the committee these unfounded stories are making rounds online and on social media. The unsubstantiated claims, designed to mislead the general public are completely false, treacherous, and libellous,” the committee said in a statement.

“Tallinding North Ward Development Committee refutes the fake news being circulated by Hon. Fatoumata K. Jawara and her camp during their political rallies in Tallinding.

Meanwhile the “Committee wishes to state categorically clear that all their statements regarding the fencing of the Tallinding Sicap Cemetery and Tallinding School Football Field are all inaccurate and misleading,” the committee added in its statement.

The statement continued that “this committee since its inception has received only five (5) Street Lights from Honourable Jawara and nothing else. Hence, we as a committee deem it necessary to clarify these issues to the general public especially the people of Tallinding. And, it is very unfortunate when we resort to personal and unfounded attacks in the name of politics. Such attacks do not help us advance understanding or help unite our people.

“Rather, it contributes to creating more harm in our societies. This committee is committed to working with all Gambian irrespective of their political affiliation,” the release concluded.
