Ebrima Dibba, a senior member of United Democratic Party, has called on the party’s supporters to calm down and exercise patience, prayed that President Adama Barrow will not succeed in his intention to destroy the party.
“I am calling on the leader of the UDP party Lawyer Ousainou Darboe to continue being patient. What president Barrow intended is to damage the UDP party. How I found the UDP militants is like they have tighten their belts in their party’s affairs today and people are increasingly joining the party’s affairs,” he said.
“I call on the UDP supporters to be patient and continue with their efforts because you will be the Gambia’s goodness. President Barrow’s group will break there is no justice and there is no seriousness, they don’t love one another and they are fighting over wealth, position and their own pocket. They are there for their own interest not for anything that can take this country forward, except how they can maintain in position God won’t accept that,” he added.
“We are not slaves, we are from the good ancestors, and we did not wake up because of money or so this is why we leave their things with them. But they think they were doing it to us, Barrow is having a long chain which is not a respected chain and not a chain of honour and will beat everyone with it one by one, then you will also answer, this is why we break,” explained.
He continued that “If Barrow didn’t change his attitude, they cannot do anything with him in this life, he should know what we did for him. He should thank and praise us for that, but he shouldn’t be someone who will be little us in this country.”
He said they will stand to fight for the truth and follow the truth until God’s final decision comes. Added that the Gambia is far behind, president Barrow should not joke he should be serious on issues with his people.
