Samba Touray, an independent candidate contesting for parliamentarian seat in BundungkaKunda constituency has promised to convince National Assembly to set up a committee to look into rising food price in the country at plenary level for scrutiny.
Speaking exclusively to The Voice, he said: “everyone in the country is complaining about the price hike especially our women and youths are affected mostly. The president should step in and discuss with the business tycoons to address the current situation of the country.
“In this holy month of Ramadan, I urge businessmen and women to sell at a reasonable price because everyone cannot afford buying at high price. Nevertheless, my priority is to take part in nation building and also part of my agenda is to fight against the rampant corruption in the country.”
“As we all know, Bundung has been facing water shortage since the inception, electricity problem, inadequate good skill centre and market. Water is very crucial in our daily lives in that case I vow to immediately address the situation when am elected,” he added.
According to him, his agenda is to advocate for better salaries to all stakeholders for both civil and public sectors adding that he will also advocate and defend the people who are unlawfully dismissed from work.
“These so-called political parties are not helping in the development of the constituency I urge the people to vote for independent candidate because they are the right people who have interest in nation building. Let the people of Bundung vote for change and together we shall develop Bundung and the whole country at large, this country cannot be developed individually but collectively” he said.
