Brikama Utd, Marimoo wins in GFF week-14 Ramadan night fixtures

Brikama United and Marimoo have both recorded a win during their week-14 Ramadan night fixtures played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau yesterday.

The Sateba boys, Brikama United defeated Hawks FC 2-0 in the early night encounter played under the Stadium’s floodlights at 9pm yesterday.

This is the sixth victory recorded by Brikama United so far, while Hawks FC suffered their fifth loss of the league so far.

Brikama United overall collected six wins, seven draws and one defeat after 14 games, while Hawks FC registered seven wins, two draws and five defeats after 14 matches.

The victory moved Brikama United to 2nd position with 25 points, one point behind leaders Real who played today, while the defeat dropped Hawks FC to 3rd position with 23 points.

Elsewhere, Waa Banjul were beaten 2-0 by Marimoo FC in yesterday’s late week-14 fixtures played at the Stadium.

The earlier impressive young Waa Banjul side now suffered their second defeat of the season, while the Manjai-based team Marimoo FC now collected their fourth win of the season.

Marimoo FC overall collected four wins, five draws and five defeats after 14 matches, while Waa Banjul registered four wins, eight draws and two losses after 14 matches.

The victory moved Marimoo Fc to 9 position with 17 points, while the loss dropped Waa Banjul to 6 position with 20 leveling with Falcons FC.

At the time of going to press yesterday, on Thursday, Elite United were taking on Gamtel FC in the earlier game at 9pm, while Real de Banjul entertain Steve Biko in the late encounter at 11pm.

Tomorrow, on Friday, GPA will face Fortune in the first game at 9pm, while Samger FC also battle it out with Wallidan in the late encounter at 11pm.

In the GFF Second Division League on Wednesday, Immigration and BK Milan played a 2-2 draw in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.

B.K. Milan has now collected their sixth draw of the season, while Immigration earned their seventh draw of the league.

The Bakau Kachikally Milan (BK Milan) overall registered seven wins, six draws and two defeats after 15 matches, while Immigration FC recorded seven wins, five wins, and three defeats after 15 games.

The result moved BK Milan to 2nd position with 27 points, while Immigration dropped to 6th position with 26 points.

At the time of going to press yesterday, on Thursday, there were three encounters playing in Second Division League: Kanifing East were taking on Tallinding United at the Independence Stadium.

Jarra West host Bombada at Soma Mini-Stadium and Jam City also battling it out with Red Hawks FC at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yumdum.

Tomorrow, on Friday, Waterside will take on PSV Wellingara at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum and Dibba Oil also entertain Medical at the Soma Mini-Stadium
