Scorpion’s striker Dembo Darboe scored his third goal in the new Belarusian League season for Shakhtyor Soligorsk during their 1-1 away draw against Isloch in their week-3 fixture of the Belarusian Premier League played at the Stadion FK Minsk on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Gambian international scored his side’s Shakhtyor goal in the 15th minute of the game, before Oleg Nikforenko’s equalizer for Isloch in the 30th minute.
The Brikama-born player, Dembo Darboe who won the golden boot award in Belarus last season guided Shakhtyor Soligorsk winning the league title.
Darboe got the new season started after scoring three goals in three appearances for Shakhtyor so far.
The result moved Shakhtyor to 6th position with 5th points, while Isloch sat at 11th position with 2 points after three games.
Meanwhile, Darboe started his professional football career at the age of 17 with Real de Banjul, where he only played for one season. In the summer of 2017, he made his first move to Senegalese club ASEC Ndiambour, where he spent two seasons.
In 2019, Darboe moved to Europe where he signed for North Macedonian club Shkupi. In his second season at the club, he experienced his breakthrough by scoring 17 goals in 19 league appearances.
In January 2021, Darboe signed with defending Belarusian champions, Shakhtyor Soligorsk, for an undisclosed fee believed to be €700,000. He made his debut for the club in the starting lineup of the Belarusian Super Cup win over BATE Borisov on 2 March 2021.
