BK Milan moves top spot, Jarra West records 7th win in GFF rescheduled matches

The Bakau Kachikally Milan (B.K. Milan) has moved top of the table standings, while Jarra West recorded their seventh victory of the season in The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played on Monday.

B.K Milan moved top of the Second Division table after defeating Dibba Oil 2-0 during their week-14 rescheduled game played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Monday.

The Kachikally based team has now recorded their ninth win of the season, while Lower River Region based team, Dibba Oil suffered their eighth loss of the season.

BK Milan overall collected nine wins, six draws and suffered two defeats after 17 games, while Dibba Oil overall registered five wins, four draws and suffered eight losses after 17 matches.

The victory moved BK Milan to the top of the table standings with 33 points, while Dibba Oil dropped to 13th position with 19 points, leveled with Young Africans.

Elsewhere, Jarra West recorded their seventh win of the season after defeating Immigration 2-0 during their week-14 game-in-hand played at the Soma Mini-Stadium on Monday.

Jarra West, who has been struggling lately, now improved their standings in the league, while Immigration now conceded their fifth defeat of the league season.

The Jarrankers overall earned seven victories, two draws and conceded eight defeats after 17 games, while Immigration overall collected seven wins, five draws and five defeats after 17 encounters.

The victory moved Jarra West to 9th position with 23 points, three points behind Immigration, who occupy 7th position with 26 points, leveled with PSV Wellingara and Greater Tomorrow respectively.

Bombada FC beat Greater Tomorrow 2-1 during their rescheduled week-11 fixture played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori on Saturday.

Brikama-based team, Bombada FC has now collected their eighth victory of the season, while West Coast Region-based team, Greater Tomorrow suffered their sixth loss of the season.

Bombada FC overall collected eight wins, three draws and suffered six defeats after 17 games, while Greater Tomorrow overall registered eight wins, two draws and succumbed to six losses after 16 games.

The result moved Bombada FC to 4th position with 27 points, one point above Greater Tomorrow, who occupy 5th position with 26 points, leveled with PSV Wellingara and Immigration respectively.

Meanwhile, at the time of going to press yesterday, Wednesday, Tallinding United was taking on Medical in their week-14 suspended fixture at Basori; Kanifing East was also entertaining PSV Wellingara in their week-14 postponed fixture at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum while Red Hawks was also battling it out with Gunjur United in their week-11 rescheduled fixture at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
