Greater Tomorrow thrashes Latrikunda, Gunjur beaten again in GFF 2 tier league

Greater Tomorrow thrashed Latrikunda United, while Gunjur United also got beaten by Wagadu during their week-15 and 16 rescheduled games played last week.

Greater Tomorrow defeated Latrikunda United 5-1 during their week-15 rescheduled game playing at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Wednesday.

The West Coast Region-based team, Greater Tomorrow, now collected their ninth win of the season, while Latrikunda United suffered their ninth defeat of the season.

Greater Tomorrow, who suffered two defeats in 17 games, sit 4 position with 29 points, levelling with PSV Wellingara, while the struggling side, Latrikunda United who recorded four wins, maintained their rock-bottom-(18th) position with 15 points, levelling with Jam City.

Elsewhere, Gunjur United were beaten 4-1 by Wagadu during their week-16 suspended game played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Saturday.

The Coastal Town boys, Gunjur who were held to a 1-1 draw by Red Hawks in their previous fixture now suffered their sixth loss of the season, while the Upper River Region-based team, Wagadu recorded their fifth win of the season.

Gunjur United registered six draws of the season, now dropped to 3 position with 30 points, leveling with second-place Tallinding United, while Wagadu who suffered eight defeats of the season moved to 14th position with 19 points, leveling with Dibba Oil and Young Africans respectively.

Earlier on, Tallinding United were defeated 1-0 by Medical during their week- 14 rescheduled fixture played at Basori on Tuesday.

The defeat left Talliding United to 2nd position with 30 points, leveling with Gunjur United, while the win moved Medical to 9th position with 25 points, leveling with B4U Kiang West.

Kanifing East defeated PSV Wellingara 1-0 during their week-14 rescheduled fixture played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum on Tuesday.

The triumph moved Kanifing East to 11th position with 21 points, while the defeat dropped PSV Wellingara to 5th position with 29 points, leveling with Greater Tomorrow.

Red Hawks FC held Gunjur United to a 1-1 draw during their week-11 suspended fixture played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday.

The result dropped Red Hawks to 16th position with 16 points, leveling with Waterside, while Gunjur United occupied 3rd position with 30 points, leveling with Tallinding United.
