Gambian defender, Maudo Jarju came off the bench to produce an impressive display as his Swedish side Elfsborg thumped Degerfors 6-0 away victory Degerfors IF during their week-6 fixture of the Allsvenskan played at the Stora Valla on Sunday.

The 24-year-old scored his side’s sixth goal in the 83rd minute of the game after replacing Rasmus Alm who completed his hat-trick with a fine finish to make it 5-0.

IF Elfsborg got off to a blistering start after hitting four before half time, with Svein Aron Gudjohnsen, Simon Olsson and Rasmus Alm all on target.

The former Sobail FK player ‘Chuka’ as he fondly called has now made three appearances for the club since joining from Austrian outfit FK Austria Wien in the summer transfer window.

The victory moved Elfsborg to 6 positions with 10 points, while Degerfors occupied rock-bottom with zero points after six games.
