Scorpion’s midfielder, Ebou Adams has scored during his side Forest Green Rovers 2-2 draw against Mansfield to secure the League Two (English Fourth Division) title in a game played at the Field Mill on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Gambian international scored his side’s first goal in the 64 minute, as he leveled Mansfield Town’s opening goal in the 17 minute through Matty Lonsdtaff.

The draw helped Ebou Adams and his Forest Green Rovers side to be crowned champions of the English Fourth Division League (League Two) and also secured an automatic promotion into the English Third Division League (League One) next season.

The English-born Gambian who is rumoured to be targeted by both Cardiff City and Blackpool scored three goals in 37 appearances for Forest Green Rovers during the season.

Meanwhile, the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) on Saturday, congratulated the Scorpion midfielder Ebou Adams for securing promotion to the English third tier with Forest Green Rovers for the first time in the club’s history.

Adams, 26, has been a regular for the Rovers all season having played in 37 of their 46 domestic league matches, 33 from the start, scoring three goals, and accumulating 3083 minutes in the process,” said GFF in a statement.

He made one further appearance in the English Football Trophy competition.

Adams was a regular for Gambia as the Scorpions finished at the quarterfinals in their maiden appearance in the African Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon earlier this year.
