The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) on Tuesday 17th May, 2022 delivered on its promise to provide office space to all five of its Allied Associations. Each of the Coaches, Players, School Football, Referees and Women’s Football associations were given a desk, executive chair, visitors chair and a laptop in an office space located at the Football House.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, the first Vice President of the GFF Bakary K. Jammeh highlighted the significance of the day. “It is a fulfilment of a promise made by the executive and this is in line with the development objectives of the GFF executive. Since we came in, we want to develop everybody together supported by an administration that is robust and knowledgeable,” he remarked. Mr. Jammeh added that the GFF administration is interested in laying a solid foundation for the future and assured the Allied Associations of the Executive’s support at all times.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the President of the Football Coaches Association, Matar Alieu M’Boge, thanked the GFF for delivering their promise, while reassuring them of their support and cooperation in the development of football. He added that the Allied Associations are allies of the GFF and should be working together for the development of football in The Gambia.
Speaking earlier, the General Secretary Lamin M. Jassey said the occasion is another historic moment in Gambian football development and thus advised the Allied Associations to make best use of the opportunity. He assured the beneficiaries of the Secretariat’s support in the execution of their duties. The brief ceremony was attended by Executive Committee members of all the five Allied Association
