GFF signs 4-year partnership with Baluwo

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) on Friday, signed a four-year partnership contract with Baluwo, for the GFF Male First Division League.

The financial institution credited for it renowned services will be helping the male first division league during the period 2022/2023 to 2025/2026 football season

Following the signing of the MoU, the GFF president Lamin Kaba Bajo expressed delight on the partnership with Baluwo, noting that this is just the beginning as the contract aims to run for a period of 4 years.

“We are very much happy that we are able to secure this deal with Baluwo. This is just the beginning as it will be for the next four years,” said president Bajo.

For his part, Joseph Arroyo, Baluwo CEO expressed hope that this partnership will encourage footballers to play better football.

“Football is one of the ways that will also help Baluwo to stay connected with their families. So we are very happy to sponsor the GFF trophy. We encourage footballers to play better football so as to offer more opportunities,” he said.

Baluwo is an e-commerce platform targeted at the West African diaspora living in Europe and North America which enables them to purchase products or services for their families back home and therefore gives them better control of the funds they usually send.

The Baluwo users can buy food and construction materials as well as mobile phone and electricity top-ups for their families in a very simple and intuitive way.
