Latrikunda Utd, Bombada win in GFF 2nd Division League week-22 fixtures

Latrikunda United, Bombada FC and Tallinding United have all won their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League Week-21 fixtures played on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

Latrikunda United defeated Greater Tomorrow 1-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum on Monday.

The Sabiji-based team, Latrikunda United, now recorded their seventh victory of the season, while the West Coast Region-based team, Greater Tomorrow suffered their eighth defeat of the season.

The win moved Latrikunda United to 12th position with 26 points, while the defeat maintained Greater Tomorrow at 3rd position with 36 points, leveling with BK Milan after 22 games.

Immigration and Wagadu both played a goalless draw during the second week-22 fixture played on Monday at Basori.

This result has made both Immigration FC and Wagadu collect their seventh draw of the league.

The draw sent Immigration to 6th position with 34 points, while Wagadu occupied 15th position with 22 points after both playing 22 matches.

Elsewhere, Bombada FC defeated BK Milan 2-1 during a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori, yesterday, on Tuesday.

The Brikama-based team, Bombada FC now collected their twelfth win of the season, while the Bakau Kachikally-based team, BK Milan suffered their fourth loss of the league.

The triumph sent Bombada FC to top of the standings with 40 points, after playing a game more behind second-place PSV Wellingara, while the defeat dropped BK Milan to 4th position with 36 points, leveling with Greater Tomorrow.

Tallinding United also beat Young Africans 2-0 during a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau yesterday, on Tuesday.

The Buffer Zone Boys, Tallinding United now registered their ninth victory of the league, while the Banjul-based team, Young Africans recorded their eighth loss of the season.

The victory moved Tallinding United to 7th position with 33 points, while the defeat dropped Young Africans to 14th position with 24 points.

B4U Kiang West were held to a 2-2 draw by their neighbors Jarra West during their game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium yesterday, on Tuesday.

This result has made it their fifth draw for the Kiangkers side, B4U, the Jarrangkers side, Jarra West.

The result occupied B4U Kiang West at 5th position with 35 points, while Jarra West sit 9th position with 32 points after 22 games.

At the time of going to press yesterday, on Wednesday, Waterside were playing against Red Hawks at the Independence Stadium; Dibba Oil were taking on Jam City at the Soma Mini Stadium and Kanifing East were battling it out with Medical at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
