A delegation from The Gambia Football Federation led by President Lamin Kaba Bajo, on Monday 23rd May, 2022 conducted another tour of Project Sites in Banjul, Bakau, Gunjur, Brikama, Busumbala, Football Hotel in Yundum and Serekunda East to have firsthand assessment of ongoing works at the grounds.
The tour spearheaded by GFF 1st Vice President and FIFA Project Manager Bakary K Jammeh first visited the Banjul Mini Stadium where works on the Artificial turf, Pavilions, Dressing rooms and Toilet facilities are at advance stages while works on the perimeter fence is nearly at the completion stage.
The delegation’s next point of call was Bakau, where works on the Perimeter Fence have been completed while similar works on the grass pitch, Pavilions, Dressing rooms, outside toilets numbering 32 are progressing smoothly.
Meanwhile, in Gunjur civil works continued with the laying down of the underground piles for the water system before the start of the labor work on Natural Grass Pitch.
At Brikama works are on their final stages with the Artificial Turf, Perimeter Fence and Dressing Rooms which are almost at the finished end.
The tour party trekked to Busumbala where similar works begun with the erection of a Perimeter fence which will be followed by works on the pitch.
The delegation further continued with a brief visit to the football Hotel in Yundum to see the ongoing construction of the Swimming Pool and a Bar at the Football Hotel.
The tour team wrapped up the visit at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium where civil works are near completion with the Dressing Rooms, Perimeter Fence and grass Pitch on their final touches.
