Red Hawks FC and Dibba Oil have both won their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League week-22 fixtures after defeating Waterside and Jam City respectively during their games played on Wednesday.
Red Hawks FC beat Waterside 2-1 during a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Wednesday.
Red Hawks FC collected their six victories of the season, while the Banjul-based team, Waterside suffered their twelfth defeat of the season.
The victory moved Red Hawks FC to 15th position with 23 points, while the loss maintained Waterside FC at the rock-bottom (18th) position with 18 points, leveling with Jam City.
Elsewhere, Dibba Oil defeated Jam City 3-1 during their game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium.
The Lower River Region-based team, Dibba Oil has now collected their eighth win of the season, while the Jambajelly-based team, Jam City succumbed to their fourteen defeat of the season.
The win sent Dibba Oil to 12th position with 28 points, while the defeat dropped Jam City to 17th position with 18 points, leveling with Waterside FC.
Kanfing East also won Medical FC 2-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
The Eastern Boys, Kanfing East suffered their eighth triumph of the season, while the Central River Region-based team, Medical FC suffered their ninth defeat of the league.
Kanifing East FC now occupied 7th position with 34 points, leveling with Immigartion FC, while Medical FC sit 11th position with 29 points after 22 games each.
At the time of going to press yesterday, on Wednesday, PSV Wellingara was playing against Gunjur United at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.
