Dozen supporters of APRC return to Pro-Jammeh APRC

Pa Modou Mbowe, spokesman for Pro-Jammeh APRC has said dozens of former APRC supporters in Kunkunjang who joined Barrow’s National People’s Party have finally returned to APRC group backing exiled former President Yahya Jammeh.

“Just last Saturday at Kunkujang, all those who went with Fabakary Tombong Jatta to NPP defected to APRC I have the evidence. They have forfeited their fatherhood from Rambo Jatta and catch Habib Secka as their father,” he said.

“We are not seeing eye-to-eye with Tombong’s executive because they are talking NPP and we are talking APRC. We contested against each other in the past National Assembly election and we defeated them massively in Foni, and we are coming to celebrate that victory this month.

“People are seeing which group is gaining the upper hand, the past election can tell where we got five seats and they got only two seats. So, we gained upper hand than them. We say no to alliance with NPP but we didn’t say no to alliance with any other party because we have alliance with GDC and we still have that MOU with them until the next five years,” he added.

According to him, they are in constant communication with Babili Mansa because they are working with him, adding tha he is communicating with him on whatever they are doing, “We consult him and give us order and guidance.”

“We haven’t held any meeting on the government White Paper and I don’t think we will do that soon because we are not threatened by it. We are satisfied with the law in the country which innocent until found guilty. If they have substantial evidences against (ex) President Jammeh to prosecute him in a court of law so, be it, but if they have no evidence, let go over it and allow peace to exist,” he stated.
