The Gambia local based team, CHAN, were beaten 1-0 by the GFF First Division League table leaders Hawks FC during a friendly game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum on Tuesday morning.
Sankung Sillah scored the only goal in the game for the inform Hawks FC side who are topping the current GFF league.
The game was organized as part of their preparations for an international friendly against Senegal ahead of their CHAN Afcon qualifiers against Guinea Bissau.
This is their fourth local test match as the team gears up for the resumption of the qualifiers against Guinea Bissau next month.
The Gambia CHAN team under the current leadership of Sheikh Adama Joof, who is deputizing for head coach Alagie Sarr, are preparing to play an international game against Senegal on Friday June 10, ahead of their Afcon qualifiers.

The first leg of the qualifier will be played in Gambia between the weekend of 22nd, 23rd and 24th July 2022 with the return leg in Bissau between 29th, 30th, and 31st July.
The winner over the two legs faces Mauritania for a place in Algeria and that begins on the weekend of 26th, 27th, and 28th August and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th September 2022.
