Second Division League newcomers Dibba Oil eliminated Hawks from the Gambia Football Federation FF Cup tournament.
The Lower River Region-based team, Dibba Oil, shocked the Gambian Premier League current leaders Hawks FC after a 3-2 score-line during a game played at the Soma Mini-stadium on Saturday.
Dibba Oil who currently sit 11 position in the second division league with 31 points now progressed into the next stage of the FF Cup tournament, while Hawks FC who occupied top of the first division league with 42 points are now eliminated out of the FF Cup competition.
Elsewhere, Kanifing East have also progressed into the next round of the FF Cup after beating Greater Tomorrow 3-1 on post-match penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in the regulation time played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday.
The Eastern Boys, Kanifing who currently occupied 6th position in the second division league with 35 points now rewarded themselves a place into the next stage of the FF Cup competition, while the Brikama-based team, Greater Tomorrow must wait until next year to participate in the FF Cup tournament again.
