Jeshwang Utd maintain lead, Future BI & Koita win in Women’s 2nd Division League

Jeshwang United has maintained their lead at the top of the women’s second tier league while Future Bi and Koita FC recorded a win during the week-13 fixtures of the GFF Women’s Second Division League played over the weekend.

Jeshwang United has maintained their lead at the top of the women’s second division league standings after defeating Young Icons 2-0 during their game played at the Kiti football field on Saturday.

The Jeshwang-based team has now recorded their ninth victory of the season, while Young Icons suffered their eleventh loss of the league.

The victory has maintained Jeshwang United at the top of the league with 28 points after also collecting one draw and two defeats after 12 games, while the defeat dropped Young Icons at the rock bottom (10th) position with 3 points after recording eleven defeats and zero draw after 12 matches.

Elsewhere, Koita FC beat Lower Nuimi 2-1 during the late encounter played at Kiti field on Saturday.

Koita FC collected their eighth victory of the league, while The North Region-based team, Lower Nuimi suffered fifth draw of the season.

Koita FC who also collected three draws and one defeat after 12 matches, occupied 2nd position with 27 points, while Lower Nuimi who also gathered five wins and two draws sit 4th position with 17 points.

Earlier, on Friday, Future BI beat Foni Girls 3-1 in a game played at Kiti.

Future BI now collected their seventh win of the season, while Foni Girls suffered their ninth loss of the league.

Future Bi who also registered two draws and three defeats after 12 matches, moved 3rd position with 23 points, while The West Coast Region-based team, Foni Girls who also collected one win and two draws occupied 9th position with 5 points after 12 matches.

At the time of going to press yesterday, on Sunday, Prisons were taking on Greater Tomorrow at the game, before Kintehs playing against Raptim FC in the late encounter at Kiti.
