She called on the police to help intervene by launching investigations over the audio in circulation in order to hold the woman who made the audio to account.
“Police should investigate the woman’s audio and hold her to accountable because she has not only damaged the business industry, but made slander against all the people in the smoked fish industry which has definitely cause more harm than good in our businesses,” she added.
Victoria Coker, also a vendor said: “no one can be heartless to and extent of using sniper on consumable food just because of personal interest. If this is the case we would all die by now because we all eat the same fish in our respective homes. The news is talk of town and we all know that once information is spread, is hard to convince people to accept the truth.”
“We are here suffering on how to make profit while there are no investigations going on regarding the audio. This woman has destroyed thousands of businesses and destroyed many minds with the use of smoke fish,” she added.
“I have not been smoking fish for the past weeks. Thus, fish business is my area but since this rumour hits the market. Life becomes very difficult for us,” Ndey Yassin Senghore who also sells smoked fish said.
