PSV Wellingara held, Immigration win in GFF 2nd Div, League week-25 fixtures

League leaders, PSV Wellingara were held to a draw, while Immigration beat Tallinding United during the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League week-25 fixtures played last week.

Table toppers, PSV Wellingara were held to a 1-1 draw against B4U Kiang West during a game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium on Friday.

The Wellingara-based team, PSV, now recorded their fourth draw of the season, while the Kiang-based team, B4U, collected their sixth draw of the league.

The draw maintained PSV Wellingara lead at the top of the standings with 49 points, while B4U Kiang West occupied 7th position with 39 points, leveling with Immigration and Kanifing East respectively.

Elsewhere, Immigration defeated Tallinding United 2-1 during a game played at the Lives Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori.

Immigration FC now collected their tenth victory of the season, while Tallinding United suffered their eighth loss of the season.

The victory moved Immigration FC to 5th position with 39 points, leveling with Kanfing East and B4U Kiang West respectively, while the defeat dropped Tallinding United to 10th position with 34 points.

Young Africans beat Latrikunda United 1-0 during the earlier game played at the Kate Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum on Thursday.

The Banjul-based team, Young Africans now collected their sixth win of the league, while the Sabiji-based team, Latrikunda United, suffered their twelfth defeat of the season.

The result moved Young Africans to 13th position with 28 points, two points above Latrikunda United who occupied 15th position with 26 points, leveling with Red Hawks.

Jarra West and Waterside played a 1-1 draw during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium on Thursday.

The Jarrangers side, now collected their sixth draw of the league, while the Banjul-based team, Waterside collected their seventh draw of the season.

The result put Jarra West to 8th position with 36 points, while Waterside FC sat second from bottom (17th) position with 22 points.
