Banjulnding Senior Secondary School on Thursday defeated Masroor Senior Secondary School 2-0 in the ongoing Inter-School Football Competition played at Masroor football field, at Old Yundum.
It was a very entertaining game between Banjulnding Senior Secondary school against their neighbors, Masroor Senior Secondary School.
Ebrima Jack opened the scoring for Banjulinding School in the 57th minute of the game before substitute Abdoulie Touray doubled their lead in the 75 minute of the second half.
The Old Yundum-based school, Masroor tried for an equalizer but couldn’t convert any of their chances created, leaving their fans and the school management disappointed with the final result.
In an interview with Voice Newspaper, Lamin Sanneh, head Coach of Banjulnding Senior Secondary School expressed happiness for winning their opening game in the inter-school championship, noting that he changed his game plan in the second half in order to secure their victory
He however, expressed hope to win all my upcoming games.
For his part, Bubacarr K. Fatty, Captain of Banjulnding Senior Secondary School expressed delight for winning their opening inter-school game, adding that this is football and is either comes a win, lose or a draw
“I am hoping to win our next game and my team will tackle everything that lies ahead of us,” Bubacarr stated’’
