League leaders, Jeshwang United were beaten while their closest challengers Future won to reduce the gap at the top of the standings during the week-16 fixtures of the GFF Women’s Second Division League played over the weekend.
Jeshwang United were defeated 3-1 by Prisons during a game played at Kiti on Friday.
The Old Jeshwang-based team, now recorded their second loss of the season, while Prisons FC recorded their ninth victory of the season.
The victory moved Prisons FC to 4 position with 29 points, leveling with Koita FC, while defeat maintained Jeshwang United at the top with 32 points, two points above their closest challengers Koita FC.
Future Bi thrashed Lower Nuimi 5-1 during the earlier game played at Kiti on Saturday.
West Coast Region-based team, Future Bi now recorded their ninth win of the season, while North Bank Region-based team, Lower Nuimi suffered their eighth defeat of the league.
The win maintained Future Bi at 2nd position with 30 points, two points behind leaders, Jeshwang United, while Lower Nuimi occupied 8th position with 17 points
Raptim FC defeated Koita FC 1-0 during a late game played at Kiti on Saturday.
The Tallinding-based team, Raptim who have found redeem now collected their fifth win of the league, while Koita FC suffered their second defeat of the league.
The result moved Raptim FC to 5 position with 22 points, leveling with Greater Tomorrow, while Koita FC sit 3rd position with 29 points, leveling with Prisons FC.
Greater Tomorrow beat Young Icons 3-2 during the earlier game played on Sunday.
The West Coast Region-based team, Greater Tomorrow now collected their sixth win of the league, while Young Icons suffered their fourteen defeat of the season.
The victory moved Greater Tomorrow to 6 position with 22 points, leveling with Raptim FC, while Young Icons dropped to the rock bottom (10th) position with 5 points.
Kintehs won against Foni Girls 3-2 during the late game played on Sunday.
Kintehs FC now recorded their fourth victory of the season, while Foni Girls suffered their twelfth loss of the league.
The result put Kintehs FC at 7th position with 19 points, while Foni Girls occupied 9 position with 5th points after 15 games.
