Dr. Muhammad Mumstad Alam, Proprietor of I-Care Optics situated at Saffedeen has donated twenty-five (25) jerseys to New Yundum and Busumbala town teams on Sunday 3rd July 2022, at the New Yundum football field.
The presentation that was witnessed by the new executive committee of New Yundum Youths and Sports Development Committee culminated with a cup final staged between the two neighbours.
Dr. Alam, a fervent football enthusiast disclosed that it is part of the plans of I-Care Optics to be contributing to the development of women and youths of the country, noting that this is what motivated the company to make the jersey donation to the two town teams of New Yundum and Busumbala.
According to him, the 25 jerseys presented will go a longway in contributing to the development of football, noting that the clinic will also provide free eyecare services to all the footballers of the two town teams.
He stated that I-Care optics is established to provide the best eyecare services for the teeming population, noting that the clinics can perform all eye problems as well as provide lenses and spectacles to customers visiting the clinic.
Dr. Alam observed the growing use of mobiles, computers, and televisions in homes and offices continues to increase people with eye complications, adding that the clinic’s doors are wide open to offer free eye examination and treatment to both individuals and companies at very affordable prices.
“We are encouraging companies to come forth and sign MoU with I-Care Optics that will allow quality and affordability to their staff without huddles. We are also advising the public to do eye examination first before starting the use of lenses, glasses, and spectacles because the use of wrong glasses can complicate eye troubles,” Dr. Muhammad Mumstad Alam noted.
Lamin Fatty, Chairman of New Yundum Youths and Sports Development Association commended the management and staff of I-Care Optics for the gesture, noting that the donation depicts the company’s commitment to fulfilling its cooperative social responsibility to the populace.
He called on other companies to emulate the gesture to help in the development of grassroots sports, adding that the development and promotion of sports is everybody’s business and should not be left to local sports committees. The Alkalo of New Yundum and other local dignitaries graced the occasion.
