PSV Wellingara beaten, Immigration win in GFF 2nd tier league

PSV Wellingara were beaten, while Immigration recorded their twelfth victory of the league after winning their week-27 fixture of the GFF Second Division League played on Tuesday.

Second Division League leaders, PSV Wellingara were beaten 4-3 by Dibba Oil during a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday.

PSV Wellingara now suffered their seventh defeat of the league, while Dibba Oil now recorded their twelfth win of the season.

The Wellingara based team, overall collected 16 wins, 4 draws and 7 defets after 27 games, while Dibba Oil overall registered 12 victories, 5 draws and 10 losses after 27 matches.

The defeat maintained PSV Wellingara lead at the top of the standings with 52 points, while the win moved Dibba Oil to 6th position with 41 points, leveling with B4U Kiang West and Gunjur United respectively.

Elsewhere, Immigration FC also beat Medical FC 1-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field on Tuesday.

The Immigration side now collected their twelfth win of the season, while Medical FC now suffered their thirteen defeat of the league.

Immigration FC overall collected 12 wins, 9 draws and 6 defeats after 27 matches, while Medical FC overall registered 8 victories, 5 draws and 13 losses after 27 games.

The triumphed put Immigration FC at 4th position with 45 points, while Medical FC occupied 13th position with 29 points.

Gunjur United defeated Wagadu 2-1 during a game played at the Soma Mini-Stadium in Jarra.

The Coastal Town Boys, Gunjur, now collected their eleventh win of the season, while the Upper River Region-based team, Wagadu suffered their fourteen loss of the season.

Gunjur United overall collected 11 wins, 8 draws and 8 losses after 27 games, while Wagadu overall registered 5 wins, 8 draws and 14 defeats after 27 matches.

The victory moved Gunjur United to 8 position with 41 points, leveling with B4U Kiang West and Dibba Oil respectively, while Wagadu maintained their position at the relegation zone (16th) position with 23 points, leveling with Waterside.

Young Africans played a goalless draw against Waterside FC in a Banjul-derby game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday.

Young Africans FC now collected their eleventh draw of the league, while the struggling side Waterside FC registered their eighth draw of the league.

Young Africans overall recorded 7 wins, 11 draws and 9 defeats after 27 games, while Waterside FC overall collected 5 wins, 8 draws and 14 losses after 27 matches.

The result put Young Africans at 12th position with 32 points, while Waterside dropped to relegation zone (17th) position with 23 points, leveling with Wagadu.

Earlier, on Sunday, BK Milan played a goalless draw against B4U Kiang West during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho field.

The Bakau Kachikally-based team, now recorded their eleventh draw of the season, while Kiangkers side collected their eighth draw of the league.

BK Milan overall collected 11 wins 11 draws and 5 defeats after 27 matches, while B4U Kiang West overall registered 11 wins, 8 draws and 8 defeats after 27 games.

The result put BK Milan at 5th position with 44 points, three points ahead of B4U Kiang West who occupied 7th position with 41 points, leveling with Dibba Oil and Gunjur United.

Latrikunda United also held Bombada to a goalless draw during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho field on Monday.

The Sabiji-based team, Latrikunda United, now collected their sixth draw of the league, while the Brikama-based team Bombada recorded their seventh draw of the league.

Latrikunda United overall collected 7 wins, 6 draws and 13 losses after 27 games, while Bombada FC overall collected 13 victories, 6 draws and 7 defeat after 27 matches.

The result put Latrikuda United at 14th position with 27 points, while Bombada FC dropped to 3rd position with 45 points.
