President Adama Barrow has expressed his disappointment with the level of work at Lots 1 & 2 of the 50-kilometer roads, disagreeing that the work progress is “very slow” and thought there is a problem that needs to be addressed.
I will call for an emergency meeting by 12:30 for all the stakeholders to come together and discuss the roads for the way forward.
“There is a problem and we have to sit down and discuss it. So that we can solve the problem because I believe there is no problem without a solution,” President Barrow said on Thursday.
President Barrow stressed that after 7 months the progress of the work at the 50-kilometer roads projects is less than expected and he is not happy with a lot of problems going on
Asked if the Gambia will still host the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), he said “I am very optimistic that the Gambia will host the OIC summit because the political will and the support are there.”
He added that the OIC does give chances to small countries and his government had a good working relationship organization.
