The Gambia CHAN Team delegation landed in Marrakech yesterday, on Wednesday, ahead of their double-legged tie against Guinea Bissau in the Moroccan resort city.
The Gambian advance team is headed by Lamin M. Jassey, GFF General Secretary and Mr. William Abraham, Chairman of the GFF Events Management Committee.
The Gambian delegation expressed satisfaction with the hotel accommodation, transport logistics and training facilities.
The team thanked both the GFF and their Moroccan counterparts for the existing MoU between the two Federations that made these arrangements possible.
Meanwhile, The Gambian advance team yesterday took a tour of the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco that will host both matches in Gambia’s CHAN double-header qualifiers against Guinea Bissau.
Coach Alhagie Sarr’s charges to host the Bissau Guineans on July 23 with the reverse fixture three days later on Tuesday 26 July 2022.
The Stade de Marrakech will host both matches as the two countries’ national stadiums are under CAF restrictions for failing to meet the minimum standard required for A National Team matches.
The double-header will be a part of a six games series to be hosted by the Stadium, including the home and away matches for the tie between Sierra Leone and Cape Verde.
