Wallidan FC and Fortune FC have both won their week-28 fixtures of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played across two venues on Tuesday.
Wallidan beat Steve Biko 2-1 during a game played at the Banjul KG5 mini-stadium.
The Blue boys, Wallidan FC, now collected their tenth victory of the league, while the Bakau Beach boys, Steve Biko FC, now suffered their seventh defeat of the league.
Wallidan FC overall registered 10 victories, 10 draws and 8 defeats after 28 games, while Steve Biko FC overall gathered 11 wins, 10 draws and 7 losses after 28 matches.
The victory moved Wallidan FC to 4th position with 40 points, three points behind Steve Biko FC, who occupied 3rd position with 43 points.
Elsewhere, Fortune FC defeated Falcon 2-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum.
The defending champions, Fortune FC, now recorded their ninth win of the league, while Falcons FC, now suffered their tenth loss of the tournament.
The Petroleum boys, overall collected 9 victories, 7 draws and 12 defeats after 28 encounters, while Falcons FC overall put together 8 wins, 9 draws and 10 losses after 28 matches.
The win put Fortune FC at 9th position with 34 points, while the defeat dropped Falcons FC to 11th position with 33 points.
