Recognizing the efforts of partners’ cements partnership and creates trust. For these reasons, the organising committee of the Media Run Challenge (MRC), on Wednesday conducted a courtesy visit to its partners who supported the second anniversary earlier in June.
A team of five from the MRC met representatives of Guarantee Trust Bank, Africell and Child Protection Alliance.
Meanwhile, the Media Run Challenge was initiated by Sang Mendy, managing director, MaJAC and Gibriel Jassey of West Coast Radio.
They first held the Media Run Challenge on Saturday 7th June 2020.
Amadou O. Bah, acting Secretary General of the committee introduced the meeting to all partners and expressed gratitude to the board, management and staff of GTBank, Africell and CPA.
Reacting to the visit, Dodou Bojang, head of corporate affairs expressed delight over the visit and assured the Media Run Challenge of his office’s willingness to partner for further engagements. Dodou advised the media run team to reach out to organizations like Youth Empowerment Project and International Organization for Migration especially for the December run.
At Africell, Modou Faye, assistant communications manager congratulated the committee for organizing the anniversary and equally expressed his company’s commitment to further collaborate with the Media Run Challenge.
Lamin Fatty, national coordinator, Child Protection Alliance said it was an honour that his organization partnered with the Media Run Challenge for the anniversary. He, like others, suggested possibilities of signing a memorandum of understanding for further activities.
The tour team will visit other partners like UNICEF, Child Fund and GAMBEGA all of whom supported the Media Run Challenge to celebrate the second anniversary.
Ebrima Darboe, a member of the tour team described the visits as fruitful saying they have generated ideas of what to do to strengthen the relationship between MRC and partners.
