Real de Banjul, Marimoo FC win in GFF 1st Division League week-28 fixtures

Real de Banjul and Marimoo FC, together with Team Rhino and The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) have all won their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League week-28 fixtures played across different venues on Wednesday.

Real de Banjul beat Brikama United 3-1 in a game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini-stadium.

The City boys, Real, recorded their fifteenth win of the league, while the Sateba boys, Brikama United suffered their eighth loss of the competition.

Real de Banjul overall registered 15 wins, 7 draws and 6 losses after 28 matches, Brikama United overall put together 9 wins, 11 draws and 8 defeats after 28 games.

The victory maintained Real de Banjul at 2nd position with 52 points, three points behind Hawks FC after playing a game more, while Brikama United sit 5th position with 38 points, leveling with Team Rhino.

Marimoo defeated Elite United 1-0 in a game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium.

Marimoo FC recorded their eighth win of the league, while Elite United suffered their thirteenth loss of the tournament

The Manjai-based team, overall collected 8 wins, 12 draws and 8 defeats after 28 games, while Elite United overall registered 6 victories, 9 draws and 13 losses after 28 matches.

The victory put Marimoo FC at 8th position with 36 points, while Elite United maintained the rock-bottom (16th) position with 27 points after 28 games.

Team Rhino beat Banjul United 2-0 in a game played at the Late Ousman Saho field in Old Yundum.

Team Rhino FC, now collected their eighth win of the competition, while Banjul United suffered their tenth loss of the league.

Rhinos overall collected 8 wins, 14 draws and 6 defeats after 28 encounters, while Banjul United overall recorded 7 victories, 11 draws and 10 defeats after 28 games.

The result put Team Rhino FC at 6th position with 38 points, leveling with Brikama, while Banjul United sit 12nd position with 32 points.

The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) beat Gamtel FC 2-1 in a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The Ferry boys, GPA, now registered their seventh win of the league, while the Telecom Giants, Gamtel FC suffered their eighth loss of the tournament.

GPA overall collected 7 wins, 8 draws and 13 defeats after 28 games, while Gamtel FC overall collected 8 wins, 7 draws and 13 defeats after 28 matches.

The victory put GPA at 15th position with 29 points, while Gamtel FC occupied 13th position with 31 points.
