Hawks football club has won the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League after defeating The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) 3-1 during a game played at Independence Stadium in Bakau Thursday.
Hawks FC opened the scoring through Modou Lamin Jarju in the early 3rd minute of the game, while GAF quickly equalised in the 4th minute of the game.
Team captain Omar Sarr gave Hawks FC the lead in the 26 minutes before Modou Lamin Jarju completed his brace in the stoppage time of the second half.
Hawks FC now won the league with 59 points, while GAF occupied 9th position with 35 points.
Hawks FC collected 18 wins, 5 draws, and 6 defeats after 29 games.
