Beatrice Allen, president of the Gambia National Olympics Committee (GNOC), has congratulated Gina Bass on her performance at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
“Congratulations, Gina, you did very well. You became one of the finalists, and you ran very well. This is the beginning of your career path to success. BRAVO,” GNOC President said.
Gambia’s track queen Gina Bass finished 5th in the 200m final race with a timing of 23:13 seconds.
The Africa’s 100m champion came 3rd position with a timing of 23:10 in the Semifinals and qualified to the final.
In the heats on Tuesday, Bass finished 2nd with a timing of 22.87 seconds.
She will now shift her attention to the Islamic Games in Turkey, which begins today, on Tuesday 9th August 2022
